Throughout civilizations, books have been revered for their ability to store knowledge, link the past to the future, and facilitate communication. The Magus of the Library founded the Central Library in Aftzaak, which now preserves all forms of written works.
In Amun, a poverty-stricken village, a young boy named Theo Fumis adores reading, but he is denied access to the library and bullied by his peers because of his long ears. Theo dreams of traveling to Aftzaak to escape his miserable existence.
One day, the Kafna, a distinguished group of librarians from the Central Library, arrive in Amun, and Sedona Bleu, a prominent member, lends Theo a cherished book. Unfortunately, he is unable to finish it before her departure, but she generously extends his loan, motivating him to pursue his dream of visiting the City of Books.
